| Preparing for Harvest | |
| Weāve had a long, warm and dry summer this year and are planning for harvest by mid-September. In next monthās newsletter weāll tell you the exact day! We did substantial off-season soil amendments and are seeing the results now with nice balance between foliage and fruit up and down our hillside vineyard. The bird nets are up to keep our precious crop safe. Otherwise, it would be a bird banquet. Coveys of quail are everywhere and we occasionally see foxes there too. The grapes are reading 22 degrees Brix [a measure of grape sugar] and the flavors are developing steadily. Table grapes that you buy at the store are typically 15-16 Brix, so our grapes are a lot sweeter. Historically, our Chardonnay is the first lot that we pick each year, and once those grapes come in it begins the non-stop whirlwind for the next few months that we call Harvest Season. |  |
| 2006 Victories Rosˇ ö Limited Release | |

We are proud to announce the release of our 2006 Victories Rosˇ! This dry Rosˇ was awarded 90 points in the July 2007 issue of Wine
Enthusiast Magazine. Victories Rosˇ was created specifically to raise funds for breast cancer research and awareness - $2 of every
bottle sold will be donated to charities supporting the cause. Due to high demand, this initial release is available exclusively to
our Wine Club members through the end of September. They may purchase up to four bottles in addition to the regular Wine Club shipment.
We are holding back a few cases to be released to the general public on October 1st, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This
great wine has essentially sold out before release.
