Current Reviews for our 2007 Syrahs
Robert Whitley of Wine Review Online has published his notes on the two Syrahs that we produce. Just this past week our 2007 Black Ridge Syrah was the featured wine on his website with an accompanying rating of 92 points. "This Syrah is what I'm looking for when I reach into the wine cellar for a good food wine. It has plenty of lovely blackberry and wild cherry fruit, but stops shy of being jammy on the palate; and it shows a good bit of minerality and spicy nuance from the use of 100 percent French oak for aging. Yummy stuff that's a superb complement to savory cuisine, particularly grilled meats." He also rated our 2007 Madden Ranch Syrah 90 points. Visit us at our Tasting Room to taste, compare and purchase these wines, or order online.
Grow Your Own Chardonnay
Back by popular demand! Have you ever wanted to start a small vineyard of your own? Here is your chance to plant Chardonnay, regardless of the size of your yard! During the weekend of March 13th and 14th, visit our tasting room to get your very own ready-to-plant Chardonnay canes from Greg and Peggy's home vineyard. These canes, which are about a foot long, can be planted in your yard or planter boxes and are a great conversation piece. In addition to complimentary canes, you will receive instructions on how to take care of the shoots and leaves that grow from it.
